About

Nikki Sawyer Moore - Web

In 2003 I graduated with an English degree from Davidson College, but soon found my passion in the kitchen.  I enrolled in culinary school at Johnson & Wales University in Charlotte and graduated Summa Cum Laude with an Associate’s degree in Culinary Arts.   I am an American Culinary Federation Certified Culinarian and have earned my Wine & Spirit Education Trust Level 2 Intermediate Certificate with Distinction.    In Charlotte, I am the owner of FOOD LOVE, a business that specializes in cooking lessons, corporate team-building events and private dinners in the comfort of your own home.  When not in the kitchen, I share my passion for food and eating with the rest of the world through Minced. Enjoy!

  11. My name is Jasmin and I am a Charlottean. Born and raised but now a newlywed living in Bogotá, Colombia. It’s hard to to find Charlotte food bloggers and so glad that I found you on Cooking Uptown. I lived near there and passed by almost everyday and always wanted to stop in. My husband and I have a food blog as well and are inspired by so many things. I’d love to go back home and walk in and shop and take my husband to a cooking class. I’ve subscribed and will definitely be following you.

  12. Jasmin,

Thanks for the nice comment. How cool that you are living in Bogota! I lived in Buenos Aires, Argentina for a couple of months and Manta, Ecuador for a year and love South America – the culture, the people, and, of course, the food. I checked out your blog and I’m excited to continue to follow you and your husband’s culinary adventures!

    Buen provecho,
